The receptionist Plug-in provides a friendly user interface for receptionists who have to handle large numbers of calls. It is primarily designed for businesses with a receptionist who is responsible for taking and forwarding calls and can be used as a replacement for (or in addition to) receptionist phone hardware. The software has been designed to reduce the amount of time that it takes to handle each call, and can be installed on multiple Microsoft Windows® computers to manage call traffic from any location. There is no need to use a mouse, as short cut keys exist for all major functions, so the whole process can be run by using the receptionist's PC keyboard.

The plug-in uses a database of all staff and external parties or by using a phone or an extension number. When looking at internal extensions the current status of each extension is displayed as busy, available, do not disturb, unknown, etc. This saves time for receptionists because they will be able to deal with the call appropriately, knowing the status of the extension. The receptionist plug-in comes with its own database for storing entries or it can be connected to any database if your company has its own directory.
