GSM Gateways

By using a GSM gateway it is possible to specify mobile traffic to route via the GSM trunk, which often results in significant cost reductions. It is possible to connect GSM gateways (from vendors such as 2N or MCS) to the Axeos IP (v)PBX by taking the following steps:

  • Create a new SIP Trunk for your GSM traffic (Communication / Trunk / Add SIP trunk), set the trunk type to 'internal'.

  • Add to the relevant Outbound plan (Dial plan / Outbound plan) a new Dial Pattern, for example _06123456789 and LCR to the GSM gateway trunk.

NOTE: The Outbound plan is processed from top to bottom. Use your mouse to drag and drop the patterns in the correct order.

The advanced call routing allows the administrator to route specific calls (numbers or number-ranges) to any required direction.
