Outlook Plug-in

The Outlook Plug-in supports calls from Outlook® and call functionality from other applications.
The Plug-ins are easy to install and very simple to use. The software enables users to initiate calls in various ways from Microsoft Office® applications. This can be achieved by using the contact details on your pc to instigate calls efficiently and accurately, with just two clicks!

Installation

Extension: your extension/IP phone extension
CallerID: any name
host IP: IP address of where your IP phone is registered to
port: tcp port to connect (default should work in most cases)
User: the username to connect as. Using Axeos PBX this is equal to the phone extension
Password: password assigned to username

Reconfiguration

During the installation you get the option to configure the plug-in.
It is also possible to reconfigure the Plug-in at a later stage, by going to 'Phone and Modems Options' at your Windows Control Panel.
Go to the 'Advanced tab and double click on the 'Easy Axeos TSP for Asterisk' to view or edit your settings.

The outlook plug-in currently not yet supported in (v)PBX version 3.x

Troubleshooting

Logging

The logging path is: C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Axeos\Outlook Plugin

Plug-in crashes

Error after clicking “configure axeos plug-in”: Axeos not installed.
The plug-in was previously installed and not completely removed. Uninstall the current installed axeos plug-in.
Go to “Phone & modems options” in the control panel. Click the advanced tab and remove the “Axeos TSP for Asterisk”
Make sure you remove the directory C:/Program Files/Axeos
Now do the installation again. The problem should be resolved

On Windows Vista and Window 7 the registration of the “callto:/” url can fail.
This url is used to be able to dial from webpages and Office applications.
During installation for version 1.0.9 uncheck “register callto:/”. Disabling this feature to avoid problems.

Follow the steps bellow if the following error occurs:

To resolve the issue go to Start, Run and enter: C:\Program Files\Axeos\Outlook Plugin\AxCallTo.exe -r (followed by 'ok')

NOTE: Windows Vista and/or Office 2010 is not yet supported in the current release.
